Preliminary Story Ideas
Lenny and Grumbles
Lenny and Grumbles is the tale of an unlucky alien looking to learn more about Earth. Lenny lands in the backyard of a home in a suburban neighborhood looking for samples of the local flora only to discover that this particular backyard is well guarded. Grumbles the bulldog doesn’t take too kindly to intruders on his property, and his feelings on this matter are quickly made clear as he chases Lenny around the yard. Lenny barely escapes to his spaceship and into safety of deep space only to discover he has an unexpected passenger onboard.
The Lemonade Stand
The Lemonade Stand is an interpretation of the myth surrounding the creation of the first Arnold Palmer. A little boy opens up a lemonade stand in front of his house in hopes of making a little extra pocket money. His plan goes awry when the girl who lives next door decides to open an iced tea stand. Competition worthy of Fortune 500 companies ensues as each tries to one up the other in an effort to get customers. The conflict comes to head as they attempt to destroy the opponent’s stand and end up accidentally mixing the lemonade and the iced tea. In the end, the two join forces and create a new stand that offers Arnold Palmers to the world.

Very dark, grungy looking hallway on the right side a lights on, flickering, with a shadow of a man breathing like he just got back from a run.
OVER THE SHOULDER:
A man bent over a sink, breathing heavy, foreground focused, and background blurry (mirror). <Lights flickering> Man looks up, and now the mirror in front of him is visible (depth changes), still panting,
CLOSE UP OF FACE:
Wiping blood off his face from what looks like something scratched him.
CLOSE UP OF LIGHT:
Lights flickering randomly and swaying a bit, man in background out of focus on left.
OVER THE SHOULDER:
Man’s back leaning over the sink, breathing heavy, suddenly the lights flicker, and the man has a flash back of the events he just faced. Big lightning strike, lights go out, flashback begins.
SIDE SHOT (FLASHBACK):
A man is seen running through the forest. Based on his dress, it appears to be the man from the bathroom, however we cannot see his face.
GROUND SHOT (FLASHBACK):
The man weaves his way between trees and through the brush. A dark entity, humanoid in form, can be seen pursuing the man through the forest.
BACK TO OVER THE SHOULDER:
Back to the man leaning on the sink. Lights turn back on, man turns on light that’s above the mirror,
CLOSE UP OF MIRROR:
Opens the mirror cabinet that’s in front of him, searches for some pain killers, grabs the bottle.
CLOSE UP OF HANDS:
Dumps pills into his mouth
OVER THE SHOULDER:
shuts the door. Suddenly, a monster appears in front of him.
CAMERA LOOKING OUT MIRROR:
Man freaks out, stumbles back, and falls to the floor.
BACK LEFT FOLLOWING GUY (FLASHBACK):
We see the running man again as he continues to navigate the forest.
FRONT SHOT (FLASHBACK):
Suddenly, the man trips over a log, and goes down.
CLOSE UP OF GUY TILTED UP TO SEE MAIN (FLASHBACK):
Before he has a chance to recover, the entity following him catches up and jumps onto his back. We can now see that this entity is in fact human (although his face is obscured) and that he has a knife. The pursuer plunges his knife into the back of his quarry.
OVER THE HEAD:
Cut to man trying to get back up.
OVER HEAD SHOT:
Steps back to the wall, regain composure.
BEHIND MAN:
Stumble back toward the sink.
CAMERA ON HIS RIGHT SIDE LOOKING AT THE HIS SIDE OF THE FACE:
Man shakes his head, thinking there’s something wrong with him, reaches to turn on sink,
CLOSE UP OF HANDS:
Turns nozzles but no water comes out.
BACK TO SHOULDER:
Lights keep flickering, looks up, it’s his reflection, lights flicker, and the mirror suddenly changes to the monster.
OVER THE SHOULDER:
Man jolts a little, but not as startled as he once was. He moves his head; the monster mimics his every move. Man holds pose, monster stays in pose, then breaks from the pose and stares at man. The monster grins sadistically at the man.
POV OF MAIN (FLASHBACK):
The pursuer removes his knife from the back of the man. He grabs the runner's shoulder and turns the body over. As the body turns we see that the face of the runner is not the face of the man in the bathroom.
POV OF GUY (FLASHBACK):
There is a burst of lightning and the face of the pursuer is illuminated to reveal he is the man from the bathroom and has a look of comfort.
CORNER OF THE BATHROOM SHOT:
Man starts to move backwards as the monster starts to come out of the mirror slowly. Finally realizes itself, and walks up to the man, goes back on his hind legs.
HALLWAY SHOT:
Pause: man goes flying threw the doorway, hits staircase wall. Slumps down like rag doll.
POV OF MAIN:
Lights go out because of lightning, monster starts to walk out of the bathroom. Lightning while the monster walks toward the man. Revealing the monster like a strobe light. Monster pulls back
CLOSE UP SIDE SHOT:
Leans forward and growls in the mans face. Lightning strike. The monster is gone.
CLOSE UP OF MAN'S FACE:
Looking like he's dead, man moves his eyes up to the camera without lifting his head. Slight creepy grin, huge lightning. Black out.

MAIN CHARACTER
Main Character - Vincent
Vincent is a troubled man who we do not know much about, he has fallen on hard times and has been drawn to do things that he never would have thought of doing.He is on the verge of a psychological breakdown and is troubled with distinguishing between what is reality and what is not. He is a very mysterious figure who has no likely family or friends and has lost all contact with normal society. He roams from place to place trying to piece together what has gone wrong in his life while fighting the urges to do wrong.
GUY CHARACTER
Guy aka Joshua
Joshua does not play a very large role in the film, other than to cause great confusion during the flashback scenes. He is essentially a nobody who is running for his life after being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He eerily resembles Vincent, but is not related and does not know Vincent, but his life has become entangled with Vincents and soon he will know him a lot more than he ever could have wanted to.
Monster
The monster is the embodiment of all that is evil in man kind, a reflection of the violent nature lurking within every human being. Most people can control their "dark passenger" but for a few the only way to quench this thirst is to act on these primal impulses. If you allow it to consume you, soon the line that separates human constraint and unbridled wrath begins to blur. Vincent begins to lose the battle of controlling his inner monster.
